A little about the role…
We have an opportunity for a mid-level Infrastructure and Backend Software Engineer to ensure the maintenance and effective running of past, present and future Experience Design (ED) projects. This is an ideal role for somebody looking to leverage and further develop their existing skills in maintaining and updating systems and contributing to new feature development on existing backend systems (ideally Python). The role will also be expected to identify opportunities for efficiency with our existing and future infrastructure and will provide you with the opportunity to broaden your experience given you’ll be working across a range of projects with different technologies.
This role will be Melbourne based, with an expectation of working from our Collingwood office for one or two days per week to enable in person collaboration with your people leader.
You could be the one if you have…
Some experience maintaining and updating systems within AWS environments
Experience managing servers and familiarity with tools such as Docker
Comfort performing support activities on legacy projects
Some backend development experience (ideally Python)
An interest in working across multiple projects and technologies, with an understanding that this will help to expand your skillset
Good judgement, with an understanding of when to take action and when to escalate
Problem solving capability, which includes the confidence to navigate new scenarios that you haven’t encountered previously
Flexibility and the ability to adjust priorities sensibly depending on the situation
The ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
